I am now a probationer

Beginning this week, I am a librarian, on probation.

I hope I pass to be a librarian. Then, at least I have something to occupy my time.  Maybe, more time to revise since I will be spending more time in the library. :)

He did it again!

Kudos! My cousins have set very high standard for me.. Both of them get straight A's in their PMR.

Me? CCK got 5A's in his UPSR and I also got 5A's. So, I think I have the confidence to get good results, just like him, in my PMR. Mom says I can excel only if I work harder.

Yeap! I must work as hard as LKL, another straight A's scorer in PMR.

Where can you find natural water slide?

Here at Sungai Gabai, Hulu Langat.  Don't know where is this place?  Wait til my Mom has the time to upload the google map or something to guide you there.

How I celebrated my birthday?

I had an early birthday surprise. Two days before my birthday (Chinese calendar), my maternal grandmother gave me an angpow.  Emm.. I have some more money now in my bank account.

My Dad took us out for a birthday dinner for an 'early' celebration.  We had our dinner at Gasoline Cafe at Berjaya Times Square.  It's not a fantastic dinner although I like that place. We seemed to have walked into Flinstone's house.  At first, we wanted to sit in the middle (those with curtains above) but it would not be too comfortable for elderly people like my grandmother,so in the end, we chose to sit at one of the 'caves' (second picture).

I ate a sinful dish.. (as always, Mom said) cheesy chicken chop. Scrumptious!!!

I had another birthday surprise gift. I requested for a 2GB micro SD card but Mom bought me a 4GD one instead !

One thing I don't like about the place is the service is very bad.  I also found out my friends have the same opinions of the place too. That may be the first and last time we went there.

Another surprise on my actual birthday. My dad took us to I-City's Snowalk. It was so cold, -5 degrees Celcius.  We had to go in and out of the place a few times so that we won't be frozen to death.  We were like Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer here.  (Ha,ha, as always Mom is camera-shy). My little brother wasn't crying. He was just having too much fun with the ice.

My Dad's Nokia E-72 couldn't work after taking some pictures at Snowalk.  We played 2 rides there. One was sliding down on a tyre and another one on a little boat like a short canoe.  After playing, we realised the rides were quite dangerous.  We also walked around ice-carvings and slid on ice ramps.  So much fun..

We love the ice so much that I smuggled a snowball out of Snowalk..Ssshhh..  After that, we had an early dinner at the nearby Old Town.  For the first time, I asked for hot Milo.

We were unlucky we couldn't play any of the outdoor rides as it started to drizzle.  We also missed the dazzling lights. Whatever it was, I enjoyed my birthday celebration !

My first mobile phone, the Samsung Champ

Finally, I got my mobile phone.  Mom says I need a phone out of necessity. There will be times she needs to contact me when we are on outings.

Although she has not bought me the best phone with a lot of functions, I still like my phone. Yes! It's my Samsung Champ!

It has a camera and radio, that's all. No connection to free WIFI, that's what my Mom is looking for.  I don't mind as long as I have a phone. I like it as it's a touch phone and the pictures it takes are clear enough on my phone. I can also shoot my own videos with this.

I am still in IGCSE

I didn't score well in this paper in the final examination. Most didn't do well too.  But, this is no excuse not to do well.  My English teacher told me I will still qualify to be in the IGCSE's English class next year because I did well in the previous terms' tests.

I really don't want to be out of this class, so I hope my teacher is serious about what she told me.

Anyway, I keep my fingers crossed!

This is better than A Famosa Water Theme Park

Wow! What great holidays I had! Not in Australia's Gold Coast but at our Malaysia's water theme park. 

No joke, Bukit Gambang Water Park's Coco Beach has the largest wave pool in Malaysia, I mean East Malaysia. Cool man, the waves seem to be bigger than those at Sunway Lagoon's wave pool.

You must try the 6-Lane Racer, said to be the longest slide in Malaysia although I think Sunway's are longer.

Crystal slide

 In the crystal tunnel slide, the top is translucent, so we can actually see the outside, very different from the galaxy slide.

It's very dark inside the tunnel and there are lights in it which make it look like we are in galaxy.

We didn't miss this too although there were only 3 of us. Mom was too intimidated by the sunshine.

Glacier River



We didn't miss 'cruising' on Glacier River.  This 'river' is special as it has waves.  My brother was scared at certain point of the river when the waves kind of rose quite high, above his height.

The longest indoor tube slide

Lex Rite, that's it, the best ever ride I've ever had indoor.

But, it was too short a ride, maybe less than 20 seconds. Wish it was longer.  Whatever it is, it was one of the best 20 seconds and I had a shot at it three times! Not bad, ha.

Cooking up a real dish for the first time

This dish doesn't look as delicious as it tastes

I learnt cooking Japanese curry in a church activity. It's so easy when I saw the brother cooking it for a few of us boys in his apartment.

Mom wasn't convinced that I can cook this dish. Finally, after 'hassling' (she's afraid that I am going to mess up her kitchen) her to buy the ingredients from the supermarket, I was able to cook this dish at home for my family.

My Dad gave me a 'not bad' rating. Mom gave me 'quite nice' rating. Even my little brother who doesn't take spicy food tasted it and quite likes it. My grandma tasted it and said it can be improved.

Yay!

We went to Cameron Highlands during the one week school holidays. We stayed there for a night. Thanks to Mom, we had a chance to drive up to Gunung Brinchang where we had a magnificent view of the Palas Tea Plantation.

Ten words a day keep the 'F' away

Ten words a day keeps the 'F' away. 'F' stands for Fail la..Don't get me wrong.

My teacher asks us to write ten new Bahasa Malaysia words everyday in our book. And we must also write down the meaning of those words.

Do you think this is a brilliant idea to help me strenghten my vocabulary? Mom definitely thinks so. But, most of the students including me just pick ten words randomly from the dictionary and copy them.

Learning to play guitar

Playing guitar is now one of my latest hobbies. The guitar belongs to my cousins. I wish I can take some lessons but it's not easy getting a 'Yes' from Mom as she's worried that I am not spending enough time on my studies.

So, I have to learn it myself, hopefully I can use my knowledge in piano to play this instrument well.

Rotten Rulers

This was the book I have just finished reading. I borrowed it from my classmate. My little brother likes it too, he's quite enthusiastic about it and sometimes reads the book. Now I know the mean things rulers do to their people.

I quit Scout!

I will bid farewell to Scout, my old 'love'. After today, I am no longer part of Scout.

I scored the third highest in IGCSE test

I scored 72% in my IGCSE English test recently and I was the top three. My teacher commented 'Creative' for my essay writing.

I wish to be a prefect

Yes! I am not kidding. My Mom wanted me to be a prefect since last year. But.... I was not interested because of obvious reasons.

My wish works well with my Mom. Now, I change my mind. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can get through the interview. I hope I can train myself to be more disciplined if I can hold an important post in school.

Another Facebook!

No, of course. Another social network similar to Facebook, by none other than Google.

And it's called Google+. So, does this mean I get more computer time since I am going to have two accounts now?

Right-handed people live longer?

Right-handed people live longer than left-handed people? So, this means I will live longer than my brother?

Why? Because a lot of gadgets are designed for right-handed people and left-handed people are more stressful coping with these gadgets, I think.

I am in the top (or second whatever) class this year!

I am elated that I am getting in to a good class. It doesn't matter whether it's number 1 or 2. It's still a good one. I must really buck up or else I will end up being the last student. A lot of competitors are in the same class.

Mom says I am lucky to be in a good class. Yes, I think so. So, I am going to face a lot of pressure from her.

My first vehicle was stolen

My first vehicle was stolen. Sigh.... it's not even valuable. Now, I can't cycle in my new neighbourhood. Not that I always get to cycle. So, Mom when can I have a new one please?

Is this my best holiday ever?

Yeah, yeah. I get to play SA almost everyday to the annoyance of my Mom. But, what can I do since I have nowhere to go except stay at home?

But, I don't get to play unlimited hours like my cousin. I have to help my Mom do this,do that first before I can touch the computer. My friends say I'm pathetic.

Top class next year?

Am I going to the top class next year? I don't know. My best friend told me because his brother saw my name on a notice in school recently.

My Mom was in disbelief because I didn't do fantastically well. And I didn't even meet the criteria of being in the top 15 in my class. If I ever succeed in landing in the top class, it's on random basis. Come on, Mom..gimme a break.

Do I still like Scouts?

I don't know the answer now. I missed so many camps because nobody informed me early so that I can ask my parents' permission.

I missed Jamboree in Singapore, I missed Campboree in VI, and latest there was a camp on my birthday. And I was informed a day before the camp. What ????

Is this fair? My PL can help me answer this, I think.

Straight As in PMR

My cousin, LKL got 7As in the PMR exam. Wah! How to achieve this,man? My mom will definitely compare my performance with his when I sit for my PMR two years later.

Reciting a poem

Oh yes! THIS is what I'm going to do.. And it's going to be in the national language, much to the amazement of Mom. I guess she is thinking that I'm almost the last choice because most students are stage fright. All because I'm not so confident in this 'important' language. But, I'm getting there...

Actually, it's not a big deal. I am only playing a tiny role together with about ten other students for this BIG day, Teachers' Day!
